Meet the Brand: ChainCraft

As the countdown to Futurebuild Australia 2026 begins, we’re spotlighting exhibitor ChainCraft. Kriskadecor provides custom architectural aluminum chain solutions for interiors and facades, exclusively distributed and managed in Australia and New Zealand by ChainCraft. Read on to discover their current design trends, and what you can expect to find at their stand.

Can you give us a brief introduction to your brand?

Kriskadecor specialises in the development of bespoke solutions using aluminium chains. We work closely with architects and interior designers to create elements such as space dividers, wallcoverings, ceiling features, façades or lighting installations, adapting each project to its specific context.

In Australia and New Zealand, Kriskadecor is exclusively distributed by ChainCraft, who provide local project support, technical expertise and end-to-end coordination, ensuring international design excellence is seamlessly delivered within the region.

What differentiates your brand from other competitors in the market?

One of the key aspects of our work is that we don’t operate with stock products. Each project is developed individually, so no two outcomes are the same. This allows for a high level of flexibility in terms of scale, form and colour, including the possibility of reproducing text, images or patterns through our own technology.

In addition, we tend to be involved throughout the process, offering support from the early design stages through to technical development, which helps ensure that each installation responds properly to the space.

Are there any exciting trends that you are seeing in the world of design this year?

There is a growing interest in materials that can perform multiple roles within a space—acoustic, aesthetic and spatial—rather than serving a purely decorative function. We are also seeing a shift towards more fluid, adaptable environments.

Sustainability continues to be a key driver, particularly in terms of durability, reusability and the ability to adapt existing materials to new contexts.

What can our visitors expect to see and experience on your stand at Futurebuild? Any new launches?

At Futurebuild Australia, we will be presenting Khronos by Rafa Ortega, a collection that combines aluminium chains with integrated acoustic panels. The aim is to create spaces that are not only visually distinctive but also more comfortable and balanced in terms of sound.

The collection is organised into two dimensions: SÒLID, with designs such as Boho, Metropolis and Rosella, inspired by architecture and natural forms; and LÍQUID, including Peixos, Meduses and Mantarraya, which explore movement and fluidity through references to water.

One of the key aspects of Khronos is its versatility, as it can be incorporated into new projects or integrated into existing spaces, offering a practical way to improve acoustics while reusing existing materials.

What are you looking forward to the most at Futurebuild Australia 2026?

We’re particularly looking forward to meeting designers and having conversations around real projects, understanding how our solutions can respond to different contexts and ways of working. It’s also a great opportunity to discover new approaches to design within the region, exchange perspectives with other professionals, and reconnect with people across the industry.
