As the countdown to Futurebuild Australia 2026 begins, we’re spotlighting exhibitor Duo Tax. Led by AIQS-accredited directors, DUOQS is Australia’s leading quantity surveying firm, providing construction professionals with accurate cost management and detailed reporting across the entire project lifecycle. Read on to discover their current design trends, and what you can expect to find at their stand.

Can you give us a brief introduction to your brand?

DUOQS is Australia’s leading quantity surveying and construction cost estimation  organisation. Led by AIQS-accredited directors, we provide practical cost management  support across the entire project lifecycle.

We work with construction professionals to deliver detailed cost reports, Bill of  Quantities, bank reports, progress claim reports, insurance replacement valuations  and elemental cost plans. Our focus is on accurate, reliable reporting that helps clients  make informed decisions and manage project costs with confidence.

What differentiates your brand from other competitors in the market?

DUOQS stands out by making quantity surveying accessible, fast and practical for  projects of all sizes across Australia. From small developments to complex and time sensitive projects, our pricing is kept as competitive as possible without compromising  quality.

We truly care about our clients and business partners, and work closely with them to  understand their goals, provide practical cost advice and support their projects from  concept through to completion, helping bring their developments to life. We also  understand how valuable time is in the construction industry, which is why we focus on  delivering accurate, professional reports with industry-leading turnaround times.

Are there any exciting trends that you are seeing in the world of design this year?

We are seeing a significant construction trend towards retaining the original structures  of buildings and renovating properties, rather than knocking down existing buildings  and building something brand new. This is because the cost of building from scratch  has soared to a point where projects often become unviable for developers and  homeowners without guaranteed investment gains.

Rising material costs have made people much more conscious of their choices, leading  to a preference for sustainable construction, more affordable material options,

alternative materials and smarter building systems. These include renewable timber  and long-term cost-saving measures such as solar panels and battery storage systems.  This shift is essential now that residential requirements have increased to a minimum  7-star energy efficiency rating.

Furthermore, builders and designers now face increased liability and stricter  documentation requirements for fire and structural compliance, making thorough early  planning and detailed specifications more important than ever.

AI and technology are playing a bigger role in planning, design and efficiency,  particularly through systems such as Building Information Modelling, or BIM, and Digital  Twins, which provide precise design coordination. With the National Construction Code  shifting towards minimising post-construction defects, technology is increasingly being  used to support compliance with fire and structural requirements by ensuring  documentation is addressed early in the development process.

What can our visitors expect to see and experience on your stand at Futurebuild? Any new launches?

Visitors can expect to meet our team, have a chat about their projects and get practical  insights into costs, feasibility and estimating.

We will be sharing more about our upcoming platform for trade professionals, giving  users subscription-based access to construction estimating tools and services to help  them price jobs more accurately and efficiently. Instead of relying on rough estimates,  the platform is designed to provide more accurate and reliable numbers, saving time,  reducing risk and improving their chances of winning tenders.

We’ll also have free gifts at our stand, plus a major prize giveaway. Come and visit our  stand to find out more!

What are you looking forward to the most at Futurebuild Australia 2026?
