Hamish’s journey to building high-performance homes wasn’t your typical straight line. He started out with a business and marketing degree from La Trobe Uni, but soon realised being stuck in an office wasn’t for him. With a love for the outdoors and inspired by his wife’s work as an ecologist, Hamish took a leap and began his carpentry and building apprenticeship at 23. This new path led him to sustainable building practices and eventually to his passion for high-performance homes and the Passive House standard. Now, Hamish reckons every Sanctum Home should meet these high standards, showing his commitment to building quality homes that are good for the planet.
